Yerin, any land cover change in the Kampar estate AOI this month?

Yes. I compared Sentinel-2 scenes from Sep 1 and Oct 3 (cloud <8%). About 12.4 ha changed from vegetation to bare land, mostly in block C-07.

What Yerin does

The routine GIS work that eats your week

Not a generic chatbot. Yerin understands CRS, topology, and why the map revision is always due Friday afternoon.

A morning brief built for spatial projects

Every day at 7 AM, Yerin sends a summary to your phone: new imagery, this week's deadlines, and data that needs a look.

  • New scenes per AOI, with cloud cover
  • Deadlines pulled from your calendar and client emails
  • Approve Yerin's suggested actions with one tap

Clean data without the repetitive clicks

Describe what you want. Yerin runs it in QGIS or PostGIS and shows you a preview before anything is saved.

  • Reproject, fix geometry, dissolve, clip
  • Find empty attributes and duplicates
  • Every step is logged and repeatable
Merge every SHP in survey_oct, reproject to UTM 48S, fix the geometries, and calculate the area.

From map to dashboard, automatically

Yerin turns spatial results into tables your stakeholders already read, and keeps the Power BI or Tableau dashboard up to date.

  • Zonal stats and area per class, per district or block
  • Publish to Power BI datasets or Tableau extracts
  • Export boundaries for Power BI shape maps and Tableau spatial files

Automations in plain language

No scripts needed. Write the rule the way you'd explain it to a colleague, and Yerin schedules and runs it.

  • Triggers: new imagery, new files in Drive, field submissions, schedules
  • Analysis: NDVI, change detection, zonal statistics
  • Output: PDF maps, GeoJSON, dashboard refresh, team message

What we're exploring next

Ideas we're researching, not features you can use today. Vote for the ones you'd use, and we'll build the most-wanted first.

EUPlanned

Deforestation & EUDR compliance

Check every plantation plot against forest cover baselines, get clearing and fire hotspot alerts, and export a due-diligence report per plot for EU buyers.

“Which of our 1,240 smallholder plots show clearing after December 2020?”

CCPlanned

Cartography Check

Upload a map layout and Yerin reviews it like a strict supervisor: north arrow, scale bar, legend, data sources, CRS, typos, and color-blind safe palettes.

“Review this thesis map before I submit it.”

PWExploring

Paper-to-Workflow

Upload a remote sensing paper. Yerin extracts the method, data, and parameters, then reproduces the analysis on your own AOI with code you can check.

“Replicate this paper's mangrove mapping method for my study area.”

CDExploring

Click-to-Digitize

Click once on the imagery and AI segmentation traces the field, building, or tree crown for you. Review, adjust, and save as a clean polygon layer.

“Digitize every plantation block in this drone orthomosaic.”

PCPlanned

Plot-to-Carbon Calculator

Upload your forest inventory (DBH, height, species). Yerin applies allometric equations and wood density data, then reports biomass, carbon, and CO₂e per plot and per hectare, with uncertainty.

“Calculate carbon stock from these 30 plots using Chave 2014.”

CSExploring

Carbon Pre-feasibility Scan

Draw an area and get a one-page screening report: estimated carbon stock from satellite biomass data, historical deforestation, and peat presence. For screening and research, not certified credits.

“Is this 5,000 ha concession worth a carbon project study?”

CMExploring

Carbon monitoring suite

Three tools in one: monitor peatland and mangrove carbon (fire scars, drainage, mangrove loss), track carbon project areas year by year with audit-ready MRV reports, and calculate land-use change emissions for supply chain plots. For monitoring and reporting support, not certified credits.

“Show fire and clearing alerts in our peat restoration area this quarter and add them to the MRV report.”

Privacy

Your clients' spatial data stays yours

Concession boundaries, land parcels, and asset locations are often confidential. Yerin is built with that in mind.

Self-hostable

Run Yerin on your own server with Docker. Your data never leaves your network.

Always asks first

Yerin never overwrites files or sends messages without your approval.

Full audit log

Every action and every script Yerin ran is recorded, so results are traceable and reproducible.

EUDR for Indonesian plantations: what the polygon requirement means

The EU Deforestation Regulation applies from 30 December 2026. For palm oil, rubber, coffee, and cocoa suppliers, the hardest part is spatial: a clean, accurate polygon for every plot. Here's what that involves.

Free vs commercial satellite imagery: when 30 cm is worth paying for

Sentinel-2 and Landsat cover most monitoring work at no cost. Here's when commercial imagery from Airbus, Planet, or Vantor (formerly Maxar) earns its price, what it costs in 2026, and the licensing trap to avoid.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When will Yerin launch?

We're opening early access in stages, starting with a small group. Join the waitlist and we'll email you an invite as features become ready. Teams can book a call to explore a pilot.

How much will it cost?

We haven't set prices yet. We're working them out with our first users, and early access members will be the first to hear about pricing. Joining early access is free.

How is Yerin different from ChatGPT?

General chatbots can explain GIS, but they can't work with your data. Yerin understands coordinate systems, geometries, and satellite imagery, works inside tools like QGIS and Earth Engine, and asks before it changes anything. Read more.

Does Yerin replace QGIS or ArcGIS?

No. Yerin works on top of the tools you already use and runs the processing there, like an assistant sitting next to you.

How does the Power BI and Tableau integration work?

Yerin aggregates your spatial results into tables (area per class, per district, over time) and pushes them to a Power BI dataset or a Tableau extract. It can also export boundaries in formats both tools can map.

Is my data safe?

We're designing Yerin so organizations can run it on their own servers. On our hosted service, your data will be encrypted and never used to train AI models.

Where will my data be stored?

Today, the only data we hold is what you send through our forms, stored with Cloudflare in the Asia-Pacific region. When Yerin launches, your project data will stay in your own tools and storage where possible, with a self-hosted option for teams that need it. See our Privacy Policy.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Everything works through chat. If you're curious, Yerin can show you the PyQGIS or SQL it ran.

Why the name Yerin?

A good assistant should feel like a colleague, not software. So Yerin has a name.

Let Yerin handle the routine work.
